Our Team

Simon Ward is the Managing Director of Tauro Capital, having recently made the decision to form the business following five years practice as a merchant banker and corporate advisor. Simon holds bachelor degrees from the University of Melbourne in Commerce and Arts and a Masters of Applied Finance from FINSIA, where he is also a Fellow and regular guest presenter.

Simon was a founder and Director of a boutique merchant bank where he lead the Valuation, Analytics and Transactions team.

Chris Pattenden is an Associate with the firm and an analyst. Chris has worked closely with Simon as a transactions analyst and is an associate of FINSIA, where he is currently completing his Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University. Like Simon, Chris is passionate about the industry, understands the importance of technical analytics and committed to the values on which the firm is founded.
